Integration and employment
Apeirons provides a variety of services to help people with disabilities to integrate into society. Different courses and learning materials are available for disabled persons as well as assistance in finding employment. Apeirons also consults potential employers regarding the needs of disabled persons.
Reporting human rights violations and discrimination
Discrimination is the unjust different treatment of people which breaches areas protected by the law, including disability. If you have witnessed or been involved in a situation where someone has been unfairly discriminated against because of his or her disability, or his or her rights have been otherwise violated, you should report this to Apeirons using the contact details below.
Activities
- Information and education for people with disabilities, including practical courses in the skills necessary for doing everyday tasks, IT courses and experience sharing
- Work with employers and society in general to raise awareness of the rights and needs of persons with disabilities and to reduce social exclusion
- Evaluation and promotion of environmental accessibility
- Monitoring and advocacy of human rights of persons with disabilities
- Cooperation with governmental and non-governmental institutions in order to develop policies complying with the needs of disabled persons
- Advocacy of human rights for people with disabilities through social campaigns, informative materials, informal education activities and advice in situations where a violation has already occurred
