Marta is an independent non-governmental organization that supports women who are victims of domestic violence or human trafficking. It promotes women’s rights and develops projects that address gender-based violence, female exclusion and poverty.

How can it help you

If you are a victim of domestic violence or human trafficking, Marta offers professional assistance and support. Its social workers, psychologists, psychotherapists, lawyers and other specialists can help you in crisis situations and provide a broad range of services.

Activities

  • Professional assistance and support in crisis situations 
  • Work with young people to raise their awareness of gender equality, challenging traditional gender stereotypes and thus reducing the risk of young people experiencing violence and becoming victims of human trafficking
  • Advocacy to reduce social exclusion, to promote access to and reintegration into the labour market, balance one’s family and professional life, facilitate more flexible and more effective forms of work organisation and support services, reduce tension and rehabilitate and reintegrate victims of human trafficking
  • Creative fund raising projects, supported by artists, for the protection of the rights and security of women
  • Promotion of international cooperation
  • Research on topics within the organisation’s competence and dissemination of results
