Information on consumer rights

The Consumer Rights Protection Centre provides information regarding consumer rights. You can acquire information by visiting the webpage of the centre, by calling the centre on 65452554 or by filling in an online application. 

Handling complaints

You should contact the Consumer Rights Protection Centre if you have faced unfair contract terms, misleading advertising (including discriminatory advertising), unfair commercial practices or unfair advertising. You should submit your complaint via e-mail ptac@ptac.gov.lv or by filling in a complaint form. 

• Supervision of the trading of goods (except food and medical supplies) and market monitoring

• Handling consumer complaints on violations of consumer rights

• Legal advice for consumers, sellers and service providers concerning consumer rights

• Awareness raising of consumers’ rights
